When is the best time to get vaccinated?

The flu season can come early and unexpectedly – the sooner you get your vaccination the better!
Don’t wait until the last minute. It takes about two weeks after getting a flu vaccination for a person to develop the antibodies that correspond to a protective immune response.
It is important to encourage your family and friends to also get the vaccination early to be protected all season long.
Remember, the vaccine is only effective for one flu season so it is important to get vaccinated every year.
